Fairport's Canal Days kicked off Saturday with fun, food, and of course, local music. The "Shared Genes Guitar Group� was one of the groups who took the stage at Packett's Landing Saturday afternoon. The group is comprised of Ted Nicolosi, 13, his father and his sister.
Oregon Coast Recorder Society performs Sunday at Visual Arts Center (Newport News-Times)
A concert of medieval, renaissance and modern music for the recorder and other early instruments will be presented by the Oregon Coast Recorder Society at 4 p.m. Sunday, upstairs at the Newport Visual Arts Center. There will be a reception following the concert.
